Now, I'm going to be upfront here that I have already decided who I am voting for in the 2016 presidential race. It was shaky for awhile, and I wasn't completely sure if I was really going to continue my streak of voting for a Democrat, but Hillary won me over in the debates, and Donald Trump is a maniacal clown candidate, so I am in fact with her.
But I always like to check the Oregon pamphlet anyway, mostly for info on state races and full text of ballot measures. I decided to look at the candidate sections, though, and the party statements just for fun.
I noticed something pretty hilarious in the party statements; something that tickled me so much I even made a video about it (see below). The Democratic Party statement was pretty much what you'd expect, and endorsed Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine along with other democrats running for major races in Oregon. But then I flipped over to the Republican Party's statement and saw the best thing ever: they did not mention Donald Trump - or for that matter the fact that this is a presidential election year - even once. In their full-page statement. They listed all their other candidates for major offices, but seem to be unwilling to link themselves to that sexually-deviant buffoon.
So from where I'm sitting the Republican Party in Oregon has completely abandoned Donald Trump, and I salute them for doing so!
A couple of little side laughs for you:
You know who the Republican Party did mention by name in their statement? Hillary Clinton. Ha!
Also, a good friend of mine noticed that the information for Mike Pence was just a copy-paste of the information under Donald Trump :)
