I know that I haven't written anything in awhile, and I apologize for that, more to myself than anyone else. Luckily it was right after my last final was done and turned in that i began to get ill more than two weeks ago. I went and saw a doctor early, when it was still just a nasty cold, and got some sudafed and an inhaler, and I seemed to be getting better for awhile. However about a week ago I started to get worse again, and two days ago I returned to the doctor to receive the news that my cold had matured into walking pneumonia accompanied by sinus problems. So now I'm suffering through a 10-day series of antibiotics, and I have a 2nd inhaler and some codine cough syrup to help me actually get to sleep.
While I do feel marginally better, I'm only 4 pills in to a 20-pill course, so I'm far from in the clear. The fact that I'm responding to antibiotics, though, is comforting. Even though walking pneumonia really pretty much always bacterial, there's still always that fear that an illness is viral and all the antibiotic succeeds in is killing off good bacteria that might have helped you recover.
The whole thing has put off my plans, too. I wanted to take a pretty girl to see The Fault in Our Stars and Lizzie, but the first has had to be postponed and as the second stops running on Sunday it may never happen. Blegh.
In fun news, I did get my badge for TI4, and getting sick and getting well again now means it didn't happen when I should be enjoying myself in Seattle next month. Let's all hope I get through this quickly and keep it away!
